For Valois Motel and Restaurant, I led a full web design and development engagement to create an inviting, easy-to-navigate online presence that reflects their warm, family-owned hospitality. We began by mapping out a clear site structure—featuring dedicated pages for room types, restaurant menus, seasonal specials, and local attractions—to help visitors find exactly what they need in just a few clicks.
On the design side, we established a cozy yet modern aesthetic, using a neutral color palette accented with subtle earth tones to evoke Valois’s welcoming atmosphere. High-quality photography of guest rooms and dining spaces was interwoven throughout the layout, while custom icons and section headers reinforce their brand identity. Every element was optimized for mobile-first responsiveness, ensuring seamless browsing and booking on smartphones and tablets.
For development, we implemented a lightweight CMS that allows Valois’s team to update room availability, post special rates, and edit menu items without touching code. We integrated a third-party reservation platform so guests can check real-time availability and book rooms directly—minimizing steps and reducing abandoned sessions. The restaurant menu page features an interactive “quick view” overlay, letting diners scroll through appetizers, entrées, and desserts without leaving the page.
Additionally, we built in location-based features, including a Google Maps embed and nearby attractions widget, to highlight the motel’s proximity to key landmarks. On the SEO front, we optimized page titles, meta descriptions, and alt tags for all images, helping Valois rank for local lodging and dining searches.
The end result is a polished, user-centric website that speaks to Valois Motel and Restaurant’s hospitality roots, drives direct bookings, and makes menu discovery effortless—ultimately boosting both room reservations and foot traffic to the dining room.
